Kanchong Medal in Champi Form, Edition 5 “Soem Mongkhon” (Enhancing Auspiciousness), Luang Pho Itthi, Wat Chulamanee, B.E. 2565 (2022)

The Kanchong medal in champi form, Edition 5 “Soem Mongkhon” is the first Kanchong-in-champi-form edition of Wat Chulamanee, the city of the yaksha (Tao Wessuwan). The obverse bears an eight-direction yantra (bagua) and taiji (yin-yang), encircled by auspicious Chinese characters and the names of the Four Heavenly Kings of the four directions, with a dragon's face below. The reverse bears sacred letters and yantra numerals encircling the Chinese characters “敕令” (imperial command), with a lotus below, together with the inscription “Wat Chulamanee, Samut Songkhram Province, 2565.”

Created by Luang Pho Itthi (Phra Khru Sophit Wiriyaphon, Bhaddacaro) of Wat Chulamanee, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province, in the Buddhist year 2565 · cast in both large and small forms; the temple recorded the purpose, materials, production numbers, and reverence prices as follows.

1. To raise funds to buy land for Wat Chulamanee, Samut Songkhram Province

2. To offer in appreciation to those who joined in donating funds to build a parking lot for Wat Chulamanee, offered to Phra Khru Sophit Wiriyaphon
