B.E. 2540

The Leng medal of Wat Chulamanee, B.E. 2540 (1997), struck by the Royal Mint. It is diamond-shaped, the obverse bearing a large Chinese character within a Chinese key-fret border, the reverse a yantra combined with Chinese characters. It was made in both a large and a small size.

The Leng medal of Wat Chulamanee was made in B.E. 2540 (1997). Its dies were cut and struck by the Royal Mint. It is a diamond-shaped (lozenge) medal with an integral suspension loop, made in two sizes: a large pattern and a small pattern.

The obverse bears a large Chinese character at the centre, enclosed on all four sides by a Chinese key-fret border (the angular meander motif).

The reverse bears a yantra combined with sacred letters — Chinese characters, Khom script, and the long-and-broken-line trigram symbols (pa kua) at the left and right corners. Along the lower edge appears a Thai inscription giving the name of the temple and the year it was made.
