Champi-form medal of Luang Pho Sothon with Tao Wessuwan of the Cātummahārājika heaven on the reverse, the B.E. 2564 rains-retreat quarter, edition “Sayop Phairi Phinat” (Vanquishing All Foes). The obverse bears the figure of Luang Pho Sothon (a Buddha image, one of the “five brothers” of the land of Siam), and the reverse bears the figure of Tao Wessuwan of the Cātummahārājika heaven, lord of power, destiny, and wealth.
Created by Luang Pho Itthi (Bhaddacaro) of Wat Chulamanee, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province, in B.E. 2564 (2021) · consecrated in Buddhābhiṣeka–Devābhiṣeka rites around October B.E. 2564 (2021) · cast in both large and small forms; the temple recorded the purpose, materials, production numbers, and reverence prices as follows.
Purpose of the Making
To contribute to the building of the monks' living quarters (kuti) at Wat Chulamanee, Samut Songkhram Province (total construction budget 70 million baht)
To contribute to the restoration of the ubosot of Wat Wang Phong, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, and the royal pavilion where King Rama IX resided on his visit to Wat Wang Phong
To contribute to the Chachoengsao provincial Sangha fund, for the conduct of the province's Sangha affairs
To support the education and administration of Buddha Sothon Sangha College, Chachoengsao Province
To contribute to the restoration of monasteries within Samut Songkhram and Ratchaburi provinces, 8 monasteries in all, and to support the education of one secondary school in Samut Songkhram Province
