The Rattanamongkhon medal, a portrait medal of Luang Pho Itthi Bhaddacaro commemorating his 60th birthday in B.E. 2560, made to raise funds for building the temple’s new crematorium, consecrated in a grand Buddhābhiṣeka on 24 December 2560.

The Rattanamongkhon Medal of Luang Pho Itthi Bhaddacaro was created by Wat Chulamanee, Bang Chang Subdistrict, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province, in commemoration of the 60th birthday of Phra Khru Sophitwiriyaphon (Luang Pho Itthi Bhaddacaro), abbot of Wat Chulamanee, in the Buddhist year B.E. 2560 (2017 CE), with the purpose of raising funds to build the temple’s new crematorium.

Appearance of the Medal

This edition is oval-shaped. The front bears a half-length portrait of Luang Pho Itthi, with yantra syllables and the name “Phra Khru Sophitwiriyaphon (Itthi Bhaddacaro)” around the rim. The back bears a standing figure of Tao Wessuwan holding his club, encircled by numeral-yantra syllables, together with the words “Wat Chulamanee, Samut Songkhram, 2560.”

Consecration Rite

This edition was consecrated in a grand Buddhābhiṣeka of auspicious victory and mental resolve on 24 December B.E. 2560, at the ceremonial ground of Wat Chulamanee.
