A Fireside Chat — The Three Superlatives of Wat Chulamanee
A fireside chat on the three superlatives of Wat Chulamanee — the most-venerated Tao Wessuwan in Thailand, the most popular "Champi"-form medallion, and the largest cast-metal replica of Phra Phuttha Chinnarat in Samut Songkhram province.
A Note — A Fireside Chat on the Three Superlatives of Wat Chulamanee

1. The Most-Venerated Tao Wessuwan
The Tao Wessuwan of Wat Chulamanee — lord of the deva-asuras who guards and protects, who bestows authority, fortune, and prosperity — is regarded as a most sacred image of Tao Wessuwan. Devotees from all over the country, as well as from abroad, hold him in reverence and stream here to pay homage and ask for blessings more than at any other place in Thailand.
2. The Most Popular "Champi"-Form Medallion
Wat Chulamanee is regarded as the original monastery of the legendary and celebrated "Champi"-form Tao Wessuwan medallion, which is the most popular of its kind at present. Every time Wat Chulamanee produces a Champi-form medallion — whether issued in the temple's own name, such as the Champi 45 or the "Rap Khwan Sit" edition, or created for temples under Luang Pho Itthi's patronage, such as the Champi Daen Tai for Wat Si Maha Pho, the Champi Nakhon Chiang Mai for Wat San Pa Khoi, or most recently the Champi Suphannaphum for Wat Phang Muang — all have proven immensely popular, reserved out from the temple within just a few days of opening for orders, and every edition continues to be sought after to this day.
3. The Largest Cast-Metal Replica of Phra Phuttha Chinnarat
Phra Phuttha Chinnarat is regarded as an important Buddha image of the land of Siam, one with a wondrous history and legend of its casting, and one that has manifested its power on many occasions plainly witnessed in the past. Most notably, it is acknowledged around the world as the most beautiful cast-bronze Buddha image in the world.

Luang Pho Itthi therefore resolved to have a replica of Phra Phuttha Chinnarat cast, with a lap-width of 145 inches and a height of 7.31 metres. The gold-pouring ceremony was set for Thursday, 23 July B.E. 2563 (2020), and once complete the image would be enshrined as the principal Buddha of the multipurpose hall (the "Dome Pavilion"). It may be surmised that this replica of Phra Phuttha Chinnarat at Wat Chulamanee will be the largest cast-metal replica of Phra Phuttha Chinnarat in Samut Songkhram province.
