Luang Pho Itthi's Kitchen on 6 October 2026 Delivers 2,380 Meal Boxes to Flood Victims

Phra Samut Wachirasophon, Phra Khru Phaisan Kitchaphon and the disciples of Wat Chulamanee ran a relief kitchen, cooking meals for flood-affected residents of Samut Songkhram Province — 1,310 boxes at lunch and 1,070 at dinner, 2,380 in all.

On 6 October 2026 (B.E. 2569), Phra Samut Wachirasophon, Adviser to the Region 15 Ecclesiastical Council and Abbot of Wat Chulamanee, Phra Khru Phaisan Kitchaphon, Ecclesiastical Head of Bang Chang Subdistrict and Second Deputy Abbot of Wat Chulamanee, and the disciples of Wat Chulamanee ran Luang Pho Itthi's kitchen for flood victims, cooking ready-to-eat lunches and dinners and delivering them to residents affected by the floods in Samut Songkhram Province — 2,380 boxes over the day.

A Kitchen of Compassion from Luang Pho Itthi

Out of compassion, Phra Samut Wachirasophon (Luang Pho Itthi Bhaddacaro) gave urgent instructions to set up a "relief kitchen for disaster victims", cooking meals to help residents affected by the floods in Samut Songkhram Province.

The kitchen began operating as soon as the water started to rise. The rescue unit of the Sapparachen Foundation collects the lunches and distributes them to residents of Soi Lan Phloen, the badly flooded houses along the Mae Klong River, Bang Krabue, Tha Kha and the area around the Bang Khonthi post office. At every meal the rescue unit returns to the kitchen to collect more food, so that help keeps reaching those affected.

The Sapparachen Foundation rescue unit respectfully thanks Luang Pho Itthi for his compassion and care for people in their time of hardship, and thanks everyone who helped cook and deliver the food.
