The merit-making ceremony for the 63rd birthday anniversary of Luang Pho Phra Khru Sophitwiriyaphon (Itthi Bhaddacaro), abbot of Wat Chulamanee, was held on Thursday 1 August B.E. 2562 (2019), his birthday, at Wat Chulamanee, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province, together with the khrop khru rite honoring the past masters on the same day.
This set of photographs records the preparation of the ceremonial ground on the preceding day, the ground enshrining the masters' masks and the ritual instruments, the offering of food and requisites to the monks, the crowning and anointing of the disciples, and the many free-food stalls and the crowds who filled the temple.
