The merit-making ceremony celebrating the 67th birthday anniversary of Phra Khru Sophitwiriyaphon (Luang Pho Itthi Bhaddacaro), Ecclesiastical District Head of Amphawa and abbot of Wat Chulamanee, was held on Tuesday 1 August B.E. 2566 (2023) at Wat Chulamanee, Bang Chang Subdistrict, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province.
The backdrop of the event bears a dragon design with a Chinese character for longevity, and gives the number “67” together with the ecclesiastical title “Phra Khru Sophitwiriyaphon”.
The occasion also included a Pha Pa communal offering to buy a second plot of land for Wat Chulamanee, with donors holding cards showing their names and the sums offered.
This set records the offering of monastic requisites to the monks seated in a long row down the pavilion, the faithful paying their respects to each monk in turn at tables marked with numbered cards, the many free-food stalls serving those who came throughout the day, and the vehicles presented to the temple by lay donors.
