The merit-making ceremony for the 60th birthday anniversary of Phra Khru Sophitwiriyaphon (Itthi Bhaddacaro), abbot of Wat Chulamanee, was held on Tuesday 1 August B.E. 2560 (2017), his birthday, at Wat Chulamanee, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province.
This set of photographs records the flower-decked ceremonial pavilion, the offering of food and requisites to the monks, the elder monks and the Sangha who came to join the occasion, and the disciples and laypeople who gathered in great number to pay their respects.
Note: the number of years given on the ceremonial banner follows the year of birth recorded in the official documents (B.E. 2500), which is the year the birth was registered; Luang Pho's actual year of birth is B.E. 2499.
