The propitiation rite for the Tao Wessuwan Chatumaharachika champi-shaped medal of B.E. 2563 of Wat Chulamanee was taken to be performed at Wang Nakhin Kham Chanot, Ban Dung District, Udon Thani Province, on Monday 24 August B.E. 2563 (2020).
This set of photographs records the ceremonial ground set up beneath a marquee in the midst of the chanot palm grove: the offering table draped in yellow cloth with a banana-leaf bai si in the form of a seven-headed naga, the offering sets and pedestal trays laid full upon it, the monks lighting incense and candles for the propitiation, the dance offered in homage, and the distribution of the amulets to those who came to join the rite, closing with views of the shrine of Chao Pu Si Suttho, the Kham Chanot forest and the sacred well.
The holding of this rite was connected with the temple's Kathina merit fund of the same year, as appears on the announcement board within the ceremonial ground.
