A photo record of the first grand propitiation rite for Tao Wessuwan at Wat Chulamanee — Sunday 16 February B.E. 2563 (2020). Sponsors brought more than eighty sets of propitiation offerings and set them out across the temple grounds, together with a Pha Pa communal offering to raise funds for the Thewasathit Tao Wessuwan Foundation.

The grand propitiation rite for Tao Wessuwan at Wat Chulamanee was held on Sunday 16 February B.E. 2563 (2020) on the ground in front of the ubosot of Wat Chulamanee, Bang Chang Subdistrict, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province.

This set of photographs records the sponsors’ offering tables set out in long rows filling the temple grounds, each set marked with a numbered flag, more than eighty sets in all, comprising tiered bai si, ritual foods, fruit, and Chinese-style offerings, along with rows of large incense sticks and candles lit until the smoke drifted across the whole ground. It includes aerial views showing the full layout of the event, the sprinkling of lustral water along the length of the tables, as well as the Pha Pa communal offering to raise funds for the Thewasathit Tao Wessuwan Foundation and the almsgiving stalls within the grounds.
