A photo record of the fourth great propitiation rite (buang suang) for Tao Wessuwan at Wat Chulamanee — offering tables set out across the temple ground, with dance offerings and a khon masked performance — Sunday 29 January B.E. 2566 (2023).
The fourth great propitiation rite for Tao Wessuwan was held on Sunday 29 January B.E. 2566 (2023) at Wat Chulamanee, Bang Chang Subdistrict, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province, continuing the series whose first occasion was held in B.E. 2563 (2020) and whose third was held in B.E. 2565 (2022).
This set records the offering tables of the participants set out across the temple ground — fruit, bai sri, roast pig's head, rice and drinking water, each bearing a card with the donor's name — the officiants in white reciting the invocation and blowing the conch, monks sprinkling lustral water and scattering flowers over the deity images, the dance offering and the khon masked performance, and the offering of food to the monks at the close of the day.
