A photo record of the Bucha Khru and Wai Khru ceremony honoring the past masters at Wat Chulamanee for the year B.E. 2563 — Sunday 2 August B.E. 2563 (2020), following on from the abbot's birthday merit-making ceremony held the day before.

The Bucha Khru and Wai Khru ceremony honoring the past masters of Wat Chulamanee for the year B.E. 2563 was held on Sunday 2 August B.E. 2563 (2020) at Wat Chulamanee, Bang Chang Subdistrict, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province, following on from the abbot's birthday merit-making ceremony held the day before.

This set of photographs records the open-air propitiation rite in the morning: the ceremonial ground enshrining dozens of masters' ceremonial head-masks (sian khru) — the heads of Phra Phikhanet, the hermit sages, Phra Phirap and the giant khon masks — arrayed on red-and-gold tiers together with the framed portraits of the temple's past masters, the offering tables laid full, the dance offered to the masters accompanied by a live piphat ensemble, the monks chanting the blessings, and the khrop khru (masters' initiation) and anointing given to the disciples, who queued holding their khan khru offering bowls to receive it one by one.
