The chanting of Buddhist blessings in honour of His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of his 6th cycle birthday anniversary, 28 July B.E. 2567, held by resolution of the Sangha Supreme Council (7th meeting), took place on Friday 26 July B.E. 2567 (2024) at Wat Chulamanee, Bang Chang Subdistrict, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province, as stated on the event banner.
This set records the preparation of the ritual space, in which the principal Buddha image was set beside the royal portrait; the registration of monks arriving from many temples, each receiving a framed royal portrait; the chanting by a large assembly of monks seated throughout a pavilion draped in yellow and white; the participants, almost all in yellow; and the offering of requisites and the pouring of water in dedication of merit.
The closing part of the day was a presentation under the banner “Project in Honour of His Majesty the King on the Auspicious Occasion of the Royal Ceremony Marking His 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary, 28 July B.E. 2567 — the giving of Dhamma, of educational grants, and of rice for the school lunch programme of 72 schools”, organised by Phra Samut Wachirasophon Vi., Ecclesiastical District Governor of Amphawa and abbot of Wat Chulamanee.
