Presentation of the Command of the Supreme Patriarch Appointing an Adviser to the Governor of Ecclesiastical Region 15, Wat Chulamanee, B.E. 2567

The presentation of the Command of the Supreme Patriarch appointing advisers to the Governor of Ecclesiastical Region 15 was held on Monday 2 December B.E. 2567 (2024) at the ubosot of Wat Chulamanee, Bang Chang Subdistrict, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province. The invitation card for the event sets out the programme: at 11.00, the offering of the midday meal to 108 monks; at 14.00, the presentation of the Command of the Supreme Patriarch.

Two monks were appointed on the same occasion: Phra Samut Thammakhani (Chamlong) of Wat Klang Nuea, Bang Khonthi District, adviser to the Ecclesiastical Provincial Governor of Samut Songkhram; and Phra Samut Wachirasophon (Sompoch), monastic name Bhaddacaro, of Wat Chulamanee, Ecclesiastical District Governor of Amphawa.

The Command displayed at the ceremony reads: “There is hereby appointed Phra Samut Wachirasophon (Sompoch), monastic name Bhaddacaro, aged 68, 48 rains, qualifications: highest level in Dhamma studies, Bachelor of Religious Studies (honorary), of Wat Chulamanee, Bang Chang Subdistrict, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province, Ecclesiastical District Governor of Amphawa, as adviser to the Governor of Ecclesiastical Region 15”, effective from 10 September B.E. 2567, given on 12 October B.E. 2567.

This set records the morning rite, at which officials in formal white uniform offered robes and requisites; the offering of the midday meal; the setting of both Commands in carved gilded frames beside the ceremonial fans and robes on gilded trays; the report delivered by the Governor of Samut Songkhram Province; the presentation itself with the chanting of the verses of victory and blessing; and the dedication of merit and the procession leaving the marble ubosot at the close.
