Champi-Form Medal Consecration, Second Occasion, Wat Chulamanee, B.E. 2564

A photo record of the amulet consecration (Buddhābhiṣeka), the second of three appointed occasions, at Wat Chulamanee — Thursday 20 May B.E. 2564 (2021) — for the making of the champi-form medals of Luang Pho Ban Laem with Tao Wessuwan and of Luang Pho Wat Rai Khing with Tao Wessuwan.
The amulet consecration, the second appointed occasion, was performed on Thursday 20 May B.E. 2564 (2021) at Wat Chulamanee, Bang Chang Subdistrict, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province.
The amulets brought into this occasion are named on the plaques set within the ceremonial ground: the medal of the image of Luang Pho Ban Laem with Tao Wessuwan on the reverse, edition “Laphon Phun Thawi Di Talot Kan,” and the medal of Luang Pho Wat Rai Khing – Tao Wessuwan, edition “Laphon Phun Thawi — Rungrueang Ramruai,” which unites the two rivers Tha Chin and Mae Klong.

This set of photographs records the setting of the ceremonial ground and the offerings, the drawing of the sacred thread across the panels of framed amulet plaques, the senior monk lighting the victory candle upon the bowl of holy water, the monks chanting the blessings, and the sprinkling of holy water and the scattering of parched rice and flowers over the amulets brought into the rite.
