Consecration of the “Pu Hai Ruay” Amulet Edition, Wat Chulamanee, B.E. 2566

Date
18 June 2023

A photo record of the consecration (Buddhābhiṣeka) of the “Pu Hai Ruay” amulet edition of Wat Chulamanee, together with replicas of Phra Phuttha Chinnarat and images of Tao Wessuwan — Sunday 18 June B.E. 2566 (2023).

The consecration of the “Pu Hai Ruay” amulet edition was held on Sunday 18 June B.E. 2566 (2023) at Wat Chulamanee, Bang Chang Subdistrict, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province.

The framed poster displayed in the ritual enclosure gives the name of the edition as “Pu Hai Ruay”, of the year B.E. 2566, of Wat Chulamanee. One face of the medallion bears the likeness of a senior monk and the other bears Tao Wessuwan.

This set records the objects entering the rite — replicas of Phra Phuttha Chinnarat in gilt and blackened metal with their pedestals set out in long rows, images of Tao Wessuwan in many materials and sizes, images of Ganesha, and the medallions laid out in the enclosure — the bearing of the victory candle into the enclosure, senior monks seated individually in meditation to empower the objects along the pavilion, and the participants filling the ground with free-food stalls serving those who came.
