
Consecration of the “Traimat 68” Tao Wessuwan Chatumaharachika Commemorative Medallion, Wat Chulamanee, B.E. 2568

The consecration of the sacred objects of the “Traimat 68” edition was held on the evening of Saturday 18 October B.E. 2568 (2025) at Wat Chulamanee, Bang Chang Subdistrict, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province.
According to the framed displays set within the ritual enclosure, the objects consecrated on this occasion were:
the “commemorative medallion of Tao Wessuwan Chatumaharachika, Traimat 68 edition, Luang Pho Itthi Bhaddacaro, Wat Chulamanee”, issued in both a large and a small die, the latter 4 centimetres high;
a cast image of Tao Wessuwan of Wat Chulamanee, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province, 2 centimetres high;
a tamarind-leaf medallion of Tao Wessuwan of Wat Chulamanee, issued as a memento of the Kathin of B.E. 2568 at Wat Wang Kaphong, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.
This set records the laying out of the sacrificial offerings and bai si in the late afternoon, the preparation of the gold and silver alloy plates, the ritual enclosure with its Buddha images and its many images of Tao Wessuwan with the sacred cord run throughout, the victory candle burning in its glass lantern, the monks chanting blessings, the senior monks taking their seats to meditate and empower the objects one by one through the night, and the extinguishing of the victory candle at the close.
