Consecration of Amulets and Deity Images, Wat Chulamanee, 18 June B.E. 2565

Date
18 June 2022

A photo record of the consecration of amulets and deity images at Wat Chulamanee — Saturday 18 June B.E. 2565 (2022) — at which a large number of Tao Wessuwan images and the “Kulap Athitthan” (Rose of Aspiration) products from a research project of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University were placed in the rite.

The consecration of amulets and deity images was held on Saturday 18 June B.E. 2565 (2022) at Wat Chulamanee, Bang Chang Subdistrict, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province.

This set records the interior of the ritual pavilion — the lighting of the victory candle, Tao Wessuwan images in brass and blackened finishes filling the altar tables, senior monks seated in meditation in a long row to empower the objects, and the sprinkling of lustral water over the participants.

Also placed in this rite were the “Kulap Athitthan” products, which the sign displayed beside them described as products “from the research project on product innovation in Buddhist faith-based tourism for creative multicultural tourism in Samut Songkhram Province” of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University.
