A photo record of the merit-making and the opening of Chula Road by Wat Chulamanee — the chanting of blessings inside the ceremony tent and the ribbon-cutting to open the newly built concrete road — Wednesday 1 April B.E. 2569 (2026).
The merit-making and opening of Chula Road by Wat Chulamanee was held on Wednesday 1 April B.E. 2569 (2026) at Wat Chulamanee, Bang Chang Subdistrict, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province.
The merit-making part was held inside an arched tent set across the road, with a carpet laid as a central aisle and the Buddha altar and monks' seats arranged in a long row; the monks chanted blessings while the attending monks, officials and members of the public sat with palms joined, and a meal and an alms kitchen were provided.
This was followed by the road-opening on the surface of the newly built concrete road, decorated on both sides with national flags and Dharmachakra flags, with the cutting of the ribbon by honoured guests, the release of balloons, and a procession bearing cloth together with a large flower-decked gong along the road.
