A photo record of the propitiation of the nine planetary deities (navagraha) and the Noppakhro chanting rite at Wat Chulamanee — 22–23 December B.E. 2562 (2019), with the lighting of the planetary candles and the making of holy water.
The propitiation of the nine planetary deities and the Noppakhro chanting rite of Wat Chulamanee were held on 22–23 December B.E. 2562 (2019) at Wat Chulamanee, Bang Chang Subdistrict, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province.
This set of photographs records the preparation of the votive candles in the colours of the planetary deities and the personal offering sets of each participant, the chanting of the blessings and the making of holy water, the participants robed in white and wearing the sacred thread filling the pavilion, the lighting of the candles after nightfall, and the free-food stalls within the grounds.
