A photo record of the Suat Noppakhro (chanting to the nine planetary deities) and the amulet consecration at Wat Chulamanee — Sunday 26 December B.E. 2564 (2021), from morning until nightfall, with the votive candles in the nine colours of the planetary deities and the masters seated in meditation to empower the amulets.
The Suat Noppakhro (chanting to the nine planetary deities) and the amulet consecration of Wat Chulamanee were performed on Sunday 26 December B.E. 2564 (2021) at Wat Chulamanee, Bang Chang Subdistrict, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province.
This set of photographs records the whole day from morning until nightfall: the preparing of the votive candles in the nine colours of the planetary deities, the setting of the ceremonial ground with the images of Tao Wessuwan ranged in a long row together with the yantra plate of the nine planetary deities, the offering of requisites to the senior monks, the lighting of the victory candle, the masters of both the Theravāda and Mahāyāna orders seated in meditation to empower the amulets, the participants wearing the sacred thread and holding their candle bowls seated across the whole ground, and on into the evening as the senior monks anointed and sprinkled holy water upon those who had come.
The amulets brought into this occasion are named on the framed plaques within the ceremonial ground, among them the sacred talisman “Prakham Thon,” first edition, and the medal “Tua Pae — Ruai Yang Diao,” by Luang Pho Itthi Bhaddacaro of Wat Chulamanee.
