The Wai Khru and khrop khru rite honoring the past masters of Wat Chulamanee for the year B.E. 2566 was held over 16–17 August B.E. 2566 (2023), beginning on the evening of the 16th, at Wat Chulamanee, Bang Chang Subdistrict, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province.
This set records the enclosure filled with masters' heads set out on gilded altars — heads of hermit sages and deities together with khon masks and their offerings — the piphat ensemble accompanying the rite, the dance offering by performers in white with blue jong kraben, the monks chanting in the ritual pavilion, and the khrop khru initiation in which each participant in turn was crowned and anointed, with participants dressed in white filling the hall.
