The rite of raising the tiered umbrella and the propitiation and celebration of Thewa Suwan Phrommasutithep and Tao Wessuwan Chatumaharachika of Wat Chulamanee, Bang Chang Subdistrict, Amphawa District, was performed on Thursday 15 July B.E. 2564 (2021).
This set of photographs records the setting of the ceremonial ground and the propitiatory offerings, the raising of the tiered umbrella above the image by scaffold and sacred thread, the entry of the monks and participants into the ceremonial ground, the lighting of the incense and candles, the rite of the assembled monks within the ubosot, and the celebratory performances of lion dance, acrobatics, the long-drum ensemble and classical dance offerings.
