The rite of raising the Buddha image into place at the multipurpose hall of Wat Chulamanee, Bang Chang Subdistrict, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province, was held on Monday 11 July B.E. 2565 (2022).

The text on the auspicious foundation stone prepared for the rite, quoted verbatim

  • Raising the replica of Phra Phuttha Chinnarat, 145 inches across the lap, into place at the multipurpose hall, Wat Chulamanee, Samut Songkhram Province

  • 11 July B.E. 2565 (2022), a Monday, the 13th day of the waxing moon of the eighth lunar month, Year of the Tiger, at 11:55 a.m.

  • Under the 13th lunar mansion, by the Bhumipalo auspicious hour

  • Phra Khru Sophitwiriyaphon, Ecclesiastical Subdistrict Head of Bang Chang and abbot of Wat Chulamanee, presiding on the monastic side

This set records the rite from the setting out of the propitiation offerings and bai sri, the placing of gold leaf, gemstones and consecrated metal plates into the foundation by monks and donors, the chanting of blessings, through to the lifting by crane of the principal Buddha image in the meditation posture, its attendant disciples and the accompanying images, and their installation on the pedestal.
